Today sees the publication of our latest novel for adults – Looking For Fireworks, by Holly Cavendish. Editor Lil Chase explains why you might like to cuddle up with Fireworks…

Tired of dates that turn out to be damp squibs, city girl Laney is determined to put some spark in her lovelife. But all thoughts of love go out the window when her father suffers from a minor stroke; she moves to the countryside to look after him and his B&B business. There she meets nice, dependable lawyer Martin, and it’s clear everyone in St Pontian wants to get them together. But isn’t there more to life than ‘nice’ and ‘dependable’? Then there’s Toby Woodward – fiery, moody, but sets her heart ablaze. As the village’s annual bonfire night Bonanza approaches, who will make the fireworks fly?

You’ve probably seen rom coms based around Christmas, Valentine’s Day and New Year’s Day, but how about one you can ‘Oooo’ and ‘Ahhhh’ to for the Guy Fawkes firework season? Perfect reading as those cosy autumn nights draw in.The cover for this is one of the best we’ve seen at WP2 – it literally sparkles, reflecting the fizzing story inside.
